Yaso teaches, studies, and researches financial reporting and analysis, performance/social impact measures, profit models of public companies, and social enterprises. She is trained as a grounded theorist and a keen observer of social behaviors in organizations.

She has a multidisciplinary background with a masters degree in Accountancy (Bowling Green State University, Ohio), and EdD in Educational Leadership & Change (Fielding Graduate University, Santa Barbara, CA).
