I was born in Fairbanks and have spent the majority of my life here.  I attended UAF for a couple of Semesters and then joined the Air National Guard.  I started in IT in the early 1990's and eventually ended up as a Federal Employee on Fort Wainwright.  I did not fully enjoy my job and always wanted to do more.  My wife and I worked long hours opening a business, Sugar Monkey, selling handmade marshmallows and popsicles at bazaars and the Farmers Market.  We eventually bought a wood fired pizza oven and turned it into a Brick and Mortar location.  Three years ago, with my wifes support,I was able to quit my job and become Self Employed full time.  In those three years we have added two more ovens, over 30 more staff and keep enjoying growth on a monthly basis.  We have future plans in place for expansion and will keep enjoying what we do as long as we can.
